Introduction:
Combination graph display two types of measures in bar and line in same chart. You may display columns, lines, areas all on the same combination chart and below you will see how it is easy to create Combined Chart in SAP Analytics cloud, only you need to make sure what dimension you need to consider for what.
What is use of Combined chart?
Combined charts combine more than one measures in the single chart. One way you can use a combined chart is to show actual values in columns together with a line that shows a goal or target value. its always helpful when you want to show two measures with different number format like one is absolute and another is in percentage.
Steps: Combined Chart in SAP Analytics Cloud
Step 1:
- Start your story canvas and insert chart option in story body
- Blank chart layout look like as shown below image
- Right side you will see the window with Designer option which have all chart type option
- Select the combined chart from comparison option in Chart structure as show below image
Step 2:
- Now select measure for columns from measure option as in below chart we have selected “Total Revenue” as column
- Then select second measure for for line option and we have selected here “Total profit”
Step 3:
- And finally select the Dimension on which you want to plot this chart.
- as in below image we have selected the region
Step 4:
- You can change the color easily from color option in design window
- also you can sort the bar depend on you requirement. You can see how can sort bar chart from chart layout option
Finally you can see below combined chart in SAP analytics cloud. You can play around more formatting using layout option on right side window.
