Below Dataset used to design Arrow Bar chart in Tableau:
Steps:
1. Drag the first dimension/parameter in Column on which you would like to create chart
2. Drag Total profit (Measures) on Rows twice next to each other
3. Convert the second Total profit into the Secondary axis and Synchronize the axis (right click on second axis and then click on Synchronize axis option)
4. Now create the new Calculated filed with name Profit indicator below is the Formula used for the indicator.
5. Then next step convert the first Total profit into the Bar chart option from Marks card option
6. Then next change the second total profit option into the shapes from Mark card option
7. Then Drag the “Profit Indicator” on shapes area for total profit
8. And change the shapes into the arrow for green in upward direction and for Red in downward direction.
9. Now drag “Profit Indicator” to the Mark card on Colour option
10. Change the colours for Green and Red as shown in below screenshot.
11. Now decrease the size of Bar using size option from Mark card
12. And finally drag the “Profit Indicator” calculated field on first total profit bar option in Mark card.
13. Then you will see the final result of the arrow bar chart in Tableau.
