Design Lollipop Chart in Tableau is the chart which shows the information in candy form and it is very nice way to represent the data in attractive way, specially if you are making visualization and dashboard on the Candy, food items.
Where can we use it?
This is simple presentation of parameters which is based on Food industry, candy industry, Chocolate industry, and even restaurant industry, these kind of chart can be changed into circle into the images of any food items, Its depend on you, how you would like to see the final outcome.
Below steps shows how you can design Lollipop chart in the Tableau:
Steps:
1. Drag region in Column on which you would like to design the chart
2. Drag Total Profit twice on Rows, next to each other as shown in below image
3. You will see the both total profit on Mark card as show on below image
4. Change the second total profit axis into the secondary axis
5. Change the first “total Profit” into bar chart option in Mark card
6. Then Synchronise axis: Right click on right side axis and then Synchronise axis
7. Now change the colour of 2nd “total Profit” and size of circle in Mark card, as shown below image
8. Then now reduce the size of first “total Profit” bar chart in Mark card option, So that it will look like stick of candy.
9. And change the colour of stick bar.
10. Now, finally click on “show mark labels” and alignment in the middle to show the data label in circle.
11. Now finally your lollipop chart will look like this. you can hind the both axis by right click on axis and hide header to make it more clean.
