Multiple donut chart in SAP Analytics Cloud

Donut chart is a variant of the pie chart, with a empty circle at the centre allowing for additional information about the data as a whole to be included. Donut charts are similar to pie charts in that their aim is to show proportions values in the each section of donut chart.  This article describe how to design Multiple Donut Chart in SAP Analytics Cloud.

What kind of data can be used for donut chart?
Donut charts are used to show the proportions of categorical data, with the size of each piece  that represents the proportion of each category.

Steps: Multiple donut chart in SAP Analytics Cloud

Step 1:
  • Insert Chart layout in story board
  • Select Donut chart from more chart option

Step 2:
  • Now insert one measures as shown below image as “Gross Margin” inserted in the measure
  • and also insert on dimension in color option
  • And you will see below donut chart with gross margin divided into slice

Step 3:
  • tis is single donut chart, if you want to insert multiple donut you can split this donut by anothe category or dimension
  • For that you need to add Trellis with below options
  • Click on 3dots and > +Add > Trellis
Step 4:
  • In Trellis we have added location so that Donut will get split into three donut as per the number of locations

Step 5:
  • in below final donut chart you can change view as per colors and add filters control to filter out as per you analysis
