Introduction
When you display the data in Table then the numbers are bit difference from each cells, if you want to show the highest data on top you can sort the one column, However, this will be difficult if there are more then one column because you can only sort by one column and others columns can show data according to first column. So here you can use in cell chart in SAP analytics cloud. You can also treat this as conditional formatting in cells as bar
This type of visualization is very useful because you can visualize a table together with a bar/column chart. The possibility of combining two different forms of data analysis/visualization in a table shows the simplification of the reporting itself.
Steps: How you can create In-Cell-Chart in SAP Analytics cloud
lets follow steps wise instruction
Step 1:
- Start your story and insert canvas option in story board
- Select table option in the story board to see the table structure layout
Step 2:
- Select Measures and dimension as per your requirement
- As you can see in below image, in rows we have selected “Item Type2 and in Column we have two dimension “Unit Price” and “Unit Cost”
Step 3:
- Now you can right click on the column header and select “In Cell Chart”, this is first option in menu
- As you can see the bar chart in each cells represent the numbers in each cells you can also treat this as conditional formatting in cells as bar
- Now you do same for another column called “Unit cost”
Step 4:
- Once you will do the In-cell chart option you will always see the bar chart in blur colour, it is by default colour and you can change this colour also
- once you will click on column, you will see new window open in left side as Bar chart structure and with color
- you can select different color for both column
- As you can see we have selected purple and yellow color for two different color
