Introduction:
Line Chart in SAP Analytics Cloud is the chart which can be used to present the trend of data in line form, and showing trend data in line chart is the best way to analyse the trend analysis. Trend can be analyse of date and any dimension.
In this example we will see line chart on dimensions on “Item type” which specify how the cost and profit line performing Item wise.
Steps: Line Chart In SAP Analytics Cloud
Step 1:
- Start your story canvas and insert chart option in story body
- Blank chart layout look like as shown below image
- Right side you will see the window with Designer option which have all chart type option
- select the Line chart option from chart structure as show below
Step 2:
- Now select one measure, we have selected “Total Cost”
- and then select on Dimension as show below image we have selected “Item Type”
Step 3:
- With above selection it will create the line chart with one line as we have selected only one measure
- If you want to show multiple line you can select another measure in Y-axis and in below image we have selected “total profit”
Finally you can see below image is the Line chart in SAP analytics cloud. You can play around more formatting using layout option on right side window.
if you would like to show more line items then you can create more line by selecting more measures either on X-axis or Y-axis.
