For any dashboard or graph, filter is important to view your analysis on different angel example filter by Country, city, product categories. It will be easy to analyse different angle of results. Page filter in SAP Analytics Cloud is one of the option to do filtering at different dimensions.
In SAP Analytics Cloud has the options to define filters as Page filter and Story Filter. Filter can be apply both for Chart and table in SAC. In this article you will read how you can put Page filter in SAP Analytics.
Below are steps to apply page filters in SAC
Steps: Page Filter in SAP Analytics Cloud
Step1:
- If you would like to apply page filter just go to that page
- Select filter option in Insert Menu as shown in below Image
Step2:
- Once you will click on filter option you will se “Page Filter” box on left top corner of your page as shown below imgae
- Once you will click on page filter it will show two option Dimension and measures, where you can see all dimension and measures available in you dataset
- And you can select any dimension as filter for this chart and Page
Step3:
- As you can se we have selected Dimensions option and you can se all dimension available in the sales data set
- Then select dimension on which you want to put filter
- Here we have selected “Region” as filter, As show below image
Step4:
- After selection of Region it will show the members available in that region
- As show below image
- You can select “All Members” OR only few members as Page filters
- we have selected “All Members”, just to show all region in page filter
Step5:
- After selection and click on “OK” you will see Region rectangular box as shown below image
- You can select and adjust this page filter in story, page or dashboard anywhere
Step6:
- Once you will click on rectangular box you will see the drop down option and region members and you can slect and deselct as per your requirement
- As shown below image
Step7:
- You can also extend the rectangular box vertically, in this case you can see scroll options and members of region in select box
Step8:
- You can see long text are wrap and not showing uniform text.
- If you want to remove wrap text then you need to click on three dot and uncheck the “Wrap Text” option
Step9:
- And now finally you have Page filter in SAP analytics cloud for chart/ graph
- As you can se in below image, with selection of Region as “Europe” bar graph has changed.
