Introduction:
Stacked bar chart in SAP analytics cloud is the way to present data in same bar in stacked form, one bar box show on the another bar box or you can say splitting of bar with some another category of dimension from dataset.
Let’s take example, if you want to see how sales channel distributed in Region like offline sales or online sales split into each region, then you should go for stacked bar chart.
Steps: Stacked bar chart in SAP Analytics Cloud
Steps 1:
- Start your story canvas and insert chart option in story body
- Blank chart layout look like as shown below image
- Right side you will see the window with Designer option which have all chart type option
- Select the Stacked bar chart from comparison option in Chart structure as show below image
- and Choose vertical bar option from chart orientation
Steps 2:
- Now select one Measures from measures option
- And then select one dimension, as shown below image that Region has been selected in dimension
- After selection, it will show the by default vertical bar chart
Steps 3:
- Now its time to convert it into stack bar, for that you need to select dimension from color option on which you want to show as a stacked bar.
- Here in below chart image we are trying to show Sales Channel as stacked bar which is splitted into “Online” and “Offline” sales
Steps 4:
- If you want you can check that data labels should not overlap
- if it is overlapping then you can go to styling option and select the checked box in “data Label” option,
Finally you will see the Stacked bar chart as shown below, you can change color and formation from styling option window and also can be sort from chart layout option. if you would like to change the vertical to horizontal you can do directly from Chart orientation option
